I’m always looking for ways to style a single piece and when I looked through my closet, I found a top that could have multiple styles, a halter top. At first glance, this top looks as though it could only be worn one way, but it’s all about perception. Let’s dive into the four ways that I styled this top!
- The Classic Halter Top
We all know and love the classic and most obvious way to style the almighty halter top. Since the halter tops are tight, I added loose ripped mom jeans to give the outfit more volume and to spice it up I topped it off with a cheetah belt. However, I want to introduce you to the other ways you can use the same top to make a completely different look.
2. Tube Top
For the first altercation, I simply turned the top around and used the back to create a tube top look. Although this may not be a top you could wear out seeing as the back would look a bit odd with the halter strap loose, this is a great way to switch up your outfit for photoshoots. You can also pull the halter top strap from the back to the front to make the look wearable like I did in the middle picture.
3. One Shoulder Crop Top
For the next look, I wanted to adjust the the top to make a one shoulder crop top. I was about to order a top that looked just like this but then I realized it’s as simple as changing your perspective of the halter top and turning it to the side that creates the same look.
4. Z Shaped Crop
Okay bare with me here because this was a long shot, I really had no idea how this last look would turn out. I’ve seen tops shaped like this before but I seriously can’t remember what they’re called so I gave it my own name, lol. It reminds me of a Z or S shape so that’s my logic behind it but anyways, I’m not really sure how much I like it. The altercation of the top had a good idea behind it but I’m not sure how well I actually executed it. This look gave me “Vogue” vibes especially with my zebra midi skirt.
