Back To (Online) School Outfits

Back to school is looking different for everyone this year, but I decided to kick off my back to school outfit series with comfy outfits. This is because my junior year is going to be all online until January and I don’t plan on wearing jeans to sit on my computer all day lol. Even if you are going to be in school, outfits you are comfortable in can make all the difference and sweats can always be fashionable if you put just a little effort in.

1.FIRST DAY FASHION

To start the year off fashionably late to a zoom call, I’d suggest wearing a cute top with comfy bottoms since no one can tell the difference. Scarf tops are super trendy at the moment and are also great for summer to fall transition outfits by adding a cardigan for chillier weather. I always recommend investing in a good pair of cute sneakers because they work with EVERY outfit and I swear by that. As far as accessories go, you’ll want to make a statement on your first day, so why not add a good pair of statement hoops to match your top? I don’t know about you guys but on my zoom calls, all my classmates are going to see how well I can accessorize ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. EVERYDAY SWEATS

This is what I like to call “I’m wearing this look every day but in different fonts”. Meaning, this is probably going to be the basis for what I wear most often for online school; a good pair of comfortable shorts while it’s still hot outside, a bralette, and a cute sweater/top. I’ve been loving the way this bralette looks when I pair it with certain tops so I figured it could spice up a boring sweater for school so I still feel somewhat fashionable. Since this is an everyday look, I won’t go overboard on the accessories and instead keep it simple. My everyday jewelry usually consists on small gold or silver hoops and dainty necklaces.

3. SWEATS BUT MAKE IT CHIC

This is probably the type of outfit I would see on Pinterest and say “wow I wish I could make sweatpants look that cool”. Well, today I tried it out and it honestly was really simple. I took a basic pair of black sweats and a crewneck as the base for the outfit. To take it to the next level, I added a black turtle neck underneath the crewneck just to add some volume and of course, the accessories completed the outfit. A gold chain necklace and cat-eye sunglasses are the KEY to making my outfits look chic! This look is clearly made for chillier weather but even if you’re inside all day due to online classes, I always say that a good outfit can make a good day.

Not going back to school can be a sad thing for a lot of us, so I figured just because school is online, that doesn’t mean you can’t show off your new style you discovered while in quarantine. Comfy can still be cute and sweats can still be fashionable. If you are going back to school (in school rather than online) and want jeans/dressed up looks, let me know and I would love to put together a post for that!

xoxo, megs
