As we are transitioning into fall, we start to replace our flip flops and sandals with all kinds of booties. Chunky boots like Doc Martens are super trendy and popular every year and today on the blog I will be showing you how to style them four different ways! Yes, mine are not authentic Docs but they look pretty similar and I do not have the budget for expensive shoes lol!!
1. DENIM ON DENIM
Denim clothing is one my favorite things to style with and although I wasn’t sure these wide-leg style pant would work with the boots, they did! When paired with a graphic tee and matching denim jacket, the look was completed. I like how put together and thought out the outfit presents but also how laid back it looks.
I’m honestly obsessed with this outfit, although it screams spring…I will definitely be wearing this in the fall. If you want to recreate this look, all you have to do is grab a few articles of clothing you probably have in your closet, a pair of denim jeans, any graphic tee, a denim jacket, and of course a pair of chunky booties.
2. FALL PLAID

Okay, chunky boots and plaid pants are a match made in heaven, seriously I think they look amazing when paired together. I think I’m going to be re-wearing these pants a lot this fall for obvious reasons but seeing them with Docs makes me that much more excited to style them.
I didn’t want to overwhelm this outfit with more red, but when I added this red turtleneck and belt, it went really well with the pants. This outfit screams fall and I couldn’t love it more!
3. MINISKIRT MOMENT

What would a blog post be if I didn’t include my favorite skirt. Yes, I know I wear this skirt ALL the time but I want you guys to see that you don’t need new clothes to create new outfits. Anyways, for this next look I paired my fake Docs with this patterned skirt and a hot pink sweater.
The hot pink isn’t the most popular choice for fall but any colored sweater goes really well with this black and white skirt. I loved how the shoes added some height and dimension to this outfit and you can’t go wrong with a sweater/skirt moment.
4. MIDI SKIRT ACTION

The final outfit consists of a zebra midi skirt and a black cropped long sleeve top. I’m not really sure why I picked these two pieces and thought they would go well with Docs but…they did! I think skirts and Docs are another great duo when styling outfits and I really liked how the look came together.
Here is the full outfit, I also added statement hoops for jewelry just to add some spice of course. The colors within this outfit give off a fall vibe so I’d consider this a fantastic look for the fall.
Hi everyone! If you made it this far, thank you. I always appreciate the extra love on blog posts and I’m in a little bit of a writing funk so it’s been difficult. I touched on it in my Instagram stories but I’m adjusting to a new school, work, and blogging schedule. I want to stay consistent posting Monday’s and Friday’s but I also want my posts to remain high quality. Today’s pictures were a bit different (I took them myself) and the quality isn’t as nice but I really liked the way they turned out. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, let me know!! I love chatting with you all and hearing your requests. I hope you enjoyed today’s post ๐
xoxo, megs
