One of my favorite blog posts to write are my monthly recaps!! I love being able to look back on all the content I’ve put out and goals I’ve been able to accomplish. This month was all about adjusting to a very new and busy schedule. I now go to school four days a week and am working at a local restaurant three days a week so adding all of that to blogging has been a little difficult. I pride myself on staying consistent and maintaining a high quality on my blog posts so I want to keep putting out good content for you all! I hope you enjoy today’s post as I wrap up September and look forward into one of my favorite months, OCTOBER!
ON THE BLOG THIS MONTH
This month was all about switching from tank tops to sweaters, sandals to booties, and summer to fall, otherwise known as a transition month. I experimented a lot with different transition outfits/fall styles (Summer To Fall Transition Outfits) and did a LOT of layering (3 Ways To Layer For Fall). I also posted a few more online school outfits for all of you who need help styling comfy outfits for zoom calls!! (More Online School Outfits) However, my favorite blog post this month was definitely The Importance Of Accessories. The most exciting part of putting together an outfit is adding all of the little things that spice it up and had some personal flare! Adding necklaces, bags, and sunglasses make me feel SO much more confident in myself and my outfit, so it was so much fun creating looks for this post.
BEAUTY FAVS THIS MONTH
Due to school, working, and overall being out of my house more often, my makeup and skincare routine has changed a bit. I also had a Sephora gift card so I was able to place an order this month and try some of your favorites!!
- The Ordinary Products
I can’t tell you how many people recommended The Ordinary skincare products but I’m about to do the same for you all because they are AMAZING. I was so shocked at the pricing (SO inexpensive compared to other skincare products) and I’ve already seen a difference in my skin. Sometimes, adding expensive products into your routine may trick your mind into thinking it’s doing something good for your skin, but most of the time it’s not. I can tell you right now that these products are not overhyped, it just depends on your skin type because everyone’s skin is different, you just have to figure out what works for you.
2. Lancôme Big Monsieur Mascara

So I had been looking for a new mascara to try out and a fellow blogger happened to recommend this one from Lancôme. I got the mini version from Sephora and so far I’ve been obsessed! My eyelashes are not long at all and I’ve always needed a few layers to really see a difference but with this mascara I only needed one coat. If you’re on the hunt for a new mascara, I’d totally suggest trying this one out!
TV/BOOKS/OTHER
As for this category, I’ve honestly been spending so much time cramming in assignments and blog posts that I haven’t been necessarily binging anything new. However, I am still trying to get through all 15 seasons of Criminal Minds (I’m on Season 10!!) and that’s definitely my go-to at the moment.

By far the best thing that happened to me this month was this group of girls. I’ve been connected with each one individually for a while now but I decided to see if they were interested in joining a group where we could collaborate and help each other out. We all live super busy lives with balancing school and blogging so I figured this could be something that benefited us all. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made because talking to them even once a week is something I look forward to! (Khushi, Eleni, Liddy, Ainsley, or Melaina, if you’re reading this- you guys are the best, I love you!!)
LOOKING INTO OCTOBER
Well there you have it, my recap of September. Next up is one of my favorite months in the whole year…OCTOBER! With the temperatures dropping and all the fall activities starting up, I get so excited! With the serotonin boost I’m getting just thinking about this, I’m hoping for a fabulous blogging month. As always, if you ever have any suggestions for blog posts, don’t hesitate to reach out via email, Instagram, or just commenting on a blog post! I’m wishing you all the best month yet, thank you for all the support, love you all!
xoxo, megs
