NOVEMBER FAVORITES

November! Finally felt the fall breeze creep in so I got to share so much fall fashion on the blog this month. Phew, this month went by SO fast. If I’m being honest, I’ve felt really out of my groove this month but that is okay! Being in a funk isn’t something I can control but it’s something I can work to get out of, and I think December is a great start to getting back into a good flow. Now, time to discuss all my favorites for this month!

ON THE BLOG THIS MONTH

This month I got to check off a few firsts! I participated in my first blogger collaboration which was amazing. Things like that always reassure me that I’m doing this blog for the right reasons. I don’t make any sort of commission for writing blog posts or styling outfits yet, It’s purely out of the passion I have for both writing and fashion. So when I get to work with other bloggers my age, it makes me realize how happy I am with what I’m doing. I also put out one of, if not my favorite blog post yet; How To Romanticize Your Life (Alone). This was another one of those posts that made me feel so proud. I genuinely want to make an impact on the people that read my blog and I think this post achieved that. If you haven’t already read it, go check it out.

TV/MUSIC FAVS

I just recently started American Horror Story and I can’t stop watching. The plot changes every season and there are no boring episodes. I would say it’s definitely for people who enjoy horror/jump scares because it’s a pretty scary show.

For those of you who don’t know, I am also a huge lover of music, I’m constantly listening to knew songs, artists, and genres, so I started making monthly playlists over quarantine and just decided to keep going with it. If you’re interested, click the link above!

BEAUTY FAVS

I had a few Sephora gift cards and decided to place a pretty big order. I am not one to wear a full face of makeup, but clear brow gel is a must in my daily makeup routine. I previously had your classic drugstore clear gel mascara that I was using before but since I had this gift card I wanted to try a more expensive brand like Anastasia. I honestly saw a difference and I can tell that it’s worth the price.

I also needed a new mascara to try and this month I picked up L’Oréal’s telescopic mascara that is constantly raved about. This is another product that I think is actually worth the hype, it’s not too pricy and you can find it at your local CVS or other drugstore.

LOOKING INTO DECEMBER

Looking into this month I’d like to set a few goals for myself:

1. Hit 1,000 followers on Instagram! – I’d really like to reach 1,000 before the New Year, and not just for the numbers because that really doesn’t matter to me, but just to feel the pride in hitting my first big milestone on MissMegs. It would show me that I’m making real progress and that my writing really impacts someones life.

2. Consistently post twice a week and possibly throw in a few extra blog posts in honor of “blogmas”. – I considered doing “blogmas” this month (kinda like “vlogmas” but instead I would post a blog post EVERY DAY. However, I thought realistically and realized that when doing school four days a week and working three days a week, I would never have time to put up a brand new post every day that I felt proud of. So instead, I will be focusing on quality over quantity yet still trying to stay consistent!

3. Write more blog posts that aren’t related to fashion/focus on other topics – Okay, you’re probably a little shocked to hear this because I am obviously a fashion blog BUT, I received so much love on my “How To Romanticize Your Life (Alone) blog post that I realized people enjoy posts like that. I’m planning on writing posts about being confident, how to stop overthinking, and other things like that! If you have any specific topics you’d like me to cover, leave a comment or shoot me a DM @themissmegs!

Well, that’s my recap of November! I love writing these mostly recaps because it allows me to reflect on each month closely and see what you guys like/dislike. Leave a comment below with your favorite blog post this month!

xoxo, megs
