December 31st, the last day of this crazy, historic, never-ending year. I never knew a year could feel so long yet so short at the same time. It feels like just yesterday I found out I would be getting two weeks off of school in March, which ended up turning into never going back and starting my junior year online (and most likely finishing it virtually as well). The amount of times I heard the words “unprecedented times” was insane, and I never thought I could do so many things in my life “virtually”. At the end of the day, there was nothing I could do to change what was happening, so I just had to make the best of it. In order to keep me busy and give myself a creative outlet in quarantine, I started my fashion blog, The Miss Megs. I used to tell everyone it was just another hobby, but right now I can tell you it’s much more then that, Miss Megs is a part of me, as cheesy as it sounds. I’ve met so many amazing people through my blogging journey and have been able to experiment with fashion in so many ways. I’m looking forward to see what 2021 brings for Miss Megs and my life outside of this blog.
ON THE BLOG THIS MONTH
On the blog this month I started taking so many more pictures with my amazing friend and fellow blogger McKenzie Morgan, you all know her as StyledbyMckenz! She brought me along on a ton of shoots this month and it was so nice to get some nicer pictures that weren’t on my deck lol! I did a ton of experimenting with fashion as I kicked off the month with My Latest Fashion Obsessions where I showed off looks with socks and heels and fun printed pants. My favorite blog post this month was one of my advice blog posts where I talked all about How To: Become Confident. I love writing posts like these because I feel as though they reach a greater audience rather then when I write solely about a fashion trend.
TV/MOVIES/BOOKS/MUSIC

As for TV shows, I’m still currently binging American Horror Story, like I mentioned in my November Favorites blog post. However, I am doing a Marvel movie marathon where I watch all of the Marvel movies in timeline order, not by release date! I’ve found that it’s much more interesting to watch all of the movies connect when I do it that way. Disney+ has a section under their Marvel movies where they put the movies in timeline order for you which is really nice.

I got this book for Christmas and I was so so excited to read it as I’ve heard amazing things about it, so this is my book for January! I’m a slow reader, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish it this month and tell you how much I loved it in next month’s monthly favs!
DECEMBER 2020 SPOTIFY PLAYLIST!
For those of you who don’t know, I am also a huge lover of music, I’m constantly listening to knew songs, artists, and genres, so I started making monthly playlists over quarantine and just decided to keep going with it. If you’re interested, click the link above!
BEAUTY FAVS

Another Christmas gift this year was the Revlon hair brush that I am obsessed with. Ever since I got my hair cut I was worried I wouldn’t know how to style it, but this blow dryer/stylist do it for me! When I hop out of the shower to blow dry my hair, it also styles it and gives it some volume which I love.
LOOKING INTO THE NEW YEAR
I’m trying to stay as hopeful as I can looking into 2021, making goals and plans for myself and the blog. I not only want to feel more motivated but also actually get stuff done this year instead of pushing it off for tomorrow, or next week, or next month. New Years resolutions were never really my thing, but I’ve already started to make a few changes in my life to get me going into this new year. If you’re reading this right now, it means you care, so thank you. I’ll never be able to put into words how happy this blog has made me and how thankful I am for each and every one of you who read my blog posts or support me in any other way. I love you all and I’m wishing you the best year yet.
xoxo, megs
