How To: Style Flare Pants

Flare pants are such a unique style of pants and I’ve grown to love styling them in my everyday looks. You can style them casually or dressy depending on your personal preference or dress attire which is always a plus. This kind of pant can be a bit intimidating at first glance, since they catch your eye so fast, but if you can style them well without the look being too jumbled or overwhelming, your style will elevate for sure. In today’s post, I wanted to give you all some outfit inspiration using two pairs of flare pants I have and I absolutely love the way they’re all so different yet easy to recreate.

1. CHEETAH & FLARE

In this first look, I styled the look based around these Shein flare jeans that I am obsessed with. I love the unique belt design and the high waisted style. I think with flare jeans, any kind of cropped top or bodysuit is perfect, so I wore a basic black tank and added this super cool cheetah printed/leather jacket. As far as accessories go, I wore some simple gold jewelry and went with my favorite Amazon brown rectangle sunglasses. For shoes, I needed a bit of height in order for the flare jeans to truly shine, so I went with some black heeled booties.

2. PASTEL PINK WITH FLARE

This next look revolves around a different pair of flare jeans that have this really interesting criss cross type thing going on on the sides. I love how unique they are and they catch your eye quite quickly. In order to not overwhelm the outfit, I added a simple pastel pink puff sleeve top to keep the top of the outfit simple yet chic. For shoes, I had a pair of pastel pink heels that complimented the top and elevated me so the jeans weren’t dragging across the ground. I kept the jewelry simple again just to keep the focus on the pants, but go crazy on accessories if that’s your thing!

3. CASUAL FLARE

The last outfit for today’s blog post is a bit more casual than the other two but no less adorable. I wanted to show that flare pants can also work for a more everyday look, so I added a cropped distressed sweater and a flannel jacket overtop. To keep those light pastel colors going, I added my baby blue/white New Balance sneakers that I adore for casual looks like these. They are so comfy yet still trendy which keeps the look fashionable.

Three completely different looks styling flare jeans, which also work well with any other kind of flare styled pant. So if you were looking for any inspiration, I hope you found some! Flare jeans are definitely my current fashion obsession, I had never owned any before and had just admired them from afar (Pinterest). Now that I have them, I want to style them a hundred different ways!!

xoxo, megs
