Recreating Pinterest Looks

Pinterest is one of my favorite social media platforms, honestly because it doesn’t even feel like social media. It always makes me feel so peaceful and I love seeing all of the outfit inspo. I used to sulk in the fact that my outfits would never be Pinterest worthy as I’m sure many of you have felt the same at some point. Well, today on the blog I’m trying to convince myself I CAN be Pinterest worthy by recreating some looks I’ve found on the app.

1. CHEETAH GIRL

This first look was for sure my fav, I’m obsessed. I picked this look specifically for the brown monochrome, however, I couldn’t fully deliver because I only had a black zip-up. I did try my best to accuracy recreate this look with the brown/khaki-like pants, a cheetah tank, cheetah bag, and the docs. Although there are some obvious differences, the two looks are pretty similar. in my opinion! I loved the vibe of this outfit, it felt so relaxed and effortlessly cute.

2. MIDI SKIRT ACTION

I will always be a sucker for a good midi skirt, especially when paired with a chunky sweater. So, when I was scrolling through my Pinterest feed and found this look, I just couldn’t resist. This look may seem basic to some, but I really do love this style so I had so fun recreating it. I took this zebra printed midi skirt, a pale yellow turtleneck sweater, and of course, a pair of docs. I finished the look off with my cat-eye sunglasses. Again, the looks differ but have a similar style.

3. SWEATS & BLAZER DUO

Alright, I’m going to be completely honest here, when I first put this look together I wasn’t a huge fan. I think the girl who wore it on Pinterest absolutely killed it and a part of me wished I could look as good in this outfit. I picked this look to recreate because I happened to have similar looking sweatpants and I kind of just ran with it. I grabbed a black turtleneck and threw on a blazer over top (yes I know it’s not a brown leather blazer…but I’m thinking of investing in one of those now). Again, finishing the look with a bag and some docs. I think overall, the thought was there, but I’m not really sure if I pulled it off.

Let me know what you guys think about these outfits and if I recreated them accurately! I love this concept and I’ll definitely be attempting it again soon (maybe I’ll do a spring version when it starts to warm up!!). Wishing you all a fabulous Monday!

xoxo, megs
