MAY FAVS + RECAP

May oh May, I love this month of the year. Warm weather and end of year festivities bring so much happiness to me. Although MissMegs hasn’t seen as much love this month, my real life has been very busy. I had my junior prom, lots of exams, and grad parties. May is a time in my life where I’m wrapping up the school year and saying hello to the summer. I’ve got a lot of new content in my back pocket, but I’ve been pushing it off until I am completely done with school and my mind can completely focus on the blog. I’ve always been a quality over quantity kind of gal. With that being said, let’s take a look at this month by recapping it and showing off some of my favorite books, shows, and more.

THIS MONTH IN MISSMEGS’ LIFE!

Clearly I can never leave the house without sunglasses…but no outfit is complete without them in my eyes. This month I started out by taking a trip to Downtown Fredrick and going shopping with my friends. I love the environment of busy towns with lots of cool shops and pretty places to take outfit pictures. In the first picture (far left), you can see the beige look I wore. The middle picture is my favorite picture from PROM! For my first prom, I wore this beautiful navy gown I picked up at a local consignment shop. It was perfect for the occasion and I had so much fun. I also published a spring fashion post this month as well where I styled four super different looks for the warm weather.

MOVIES/TV

This month, I finally got to get back into the theaters! I went with a bunch of my friends to see A Quiet Place Part II directed by John Krasinski. I absolutely loved the first movie, but I honestly liked the sequel even more which is so impressive. Props to the cast and crew of this movie because it was amazing, and definitely one you have to see in the theater. The TV show I got addicted to this month was The Wilds. I finished the first season which consisted of 10 episodes. I got so hooked so I am very sad I won’t have a second season to watch right now, because it ends with such a cliffhanger. If you’re looking for a quick, interesting watch I would totally recommend this series. I also watched On the Basis of Sex directed by Mimi Leder and loved it. It was a bittersweet feeling watching this movie after the passing of RBG. I was sobbing like a baby at the end, but knowing how much impact she made on women’s rights was such a moving feeling.

BOOKS/MUSIC/FOOD

Books! Last month I told you all that I started the A Court of Thorns and Roses series and I am pleased to inform you that I read the first book and was hooked. The beginning was a bit boring, but the last 50 pages were intense and full of action. I love the fantasy plots, so I’m very excited to continue reading this series.

HERE’S THIS MONTH’S SPOTIFY PLAYLIST!!!!! May 2021, SO many good tunes in there, go check it out!

I wanted to add a”food” category because for some reason this month I developed an obsession with two things specifically. First, the Cheez Itz Duos (Sharp Cheddar and Parmesan). My mom loves these, and I’ve definitely been stealing them from her. Next is my newest Starbucks order. I’m not really into coffee, but I’ve bee getting the Iced Guava Black Tea Lemonade and it is phenomenal. I used to be a strictly Dunkin’ girl, but this drink might change me.

LOOKING INTO JUNE

June is a month I am SO excited for. With school letting out soon, I’ll have all the time in the world for the things that make me happy. Working, blogging, and adventuring with friends are the things I am most excited for. It’s crazy to think this is the summer before my senior year, but that just motivates me more to work hard and take risks. This June, my goal is to create more content and expand onto Youtube. I’m planning on vlogging some day in my lifes/adventures my friends and I go on so look out for those. I am so passionate about this blog and I can’t wait to see the things I do this month.

xoxo, megs
