Picking out a pair of shoes for an outfit can be a difficult task sometimes. Re-wearing the same pair of sandals in the summer can also be pretty boring as well, but a cute pair of sneakers can spice it up. Once you find the perfect pair, sneakers can go with so many different outfits. This way, you can wear a fashionable outfit and be comfortable simultaneously. My New Balance sneakers have some blue accents so I decided to keep my outfits the same way, so you’ll notice a bit of blue in today’s post.
- Keeping It Basic
The first outfit I decided to keep simple and sweet. Grab your favorite jean shorts and a cute tank and usually I would say pair flip flops or sandals. However, a stylish pair of sneakers can totally spice up the classic summer outfit. If you’re one to stay inside your comfort zone (no shame in that) and adore this classic style I would recommend trying out a new pair of sneaks with it!

2. Sneaks With Pants
I wasn’t sure how to title this look but I figured I could put it into a category: pants. If you’re looking to style sneakers, any kind of pants end up working really well. I picked these Urban Outfitters blue pants that matched with my shoes, however I could also use sweatpants, denim pants, or even dressier pants. I chose a tight crop top for this look to show off the fit of the pants and give them some time to shine. You could also pair a graphic tee or sweater for when it gets chilly.

3. Dressing It Up
You didn’t think I was styling just casual outfits with sneakers, did ya? This gorgeous deep blue romper should clearly be paired with heels, right? Think again! You can totally pair your favorite sneakers to keep it more casual or if you just want to end the night without a few million blisters, lol. If you’re doing something that requires a lot of walking but you still want to dress up, this look is perfect! Dresses/rompers/jumpsuits paired with sneakers are super in trend right now as well, so this look is now comfy AND trendy! This is definitely one of my favorites, I’m all for dressing up even when it’s unnecessary but I’m also a huge advocate for convenient footwear.

4. Skirts n’ Sneaks
My last blog post was about styling skirts, but if you missed it, my favorite look consisted of a midi skirt paired with these same sneakers. Although this skirt could be super chic with some sandals, if you’re strolling in the city and want to show off your killer style, skirts and sneaks are my go to look. This wasn’t my favorite midi skirt to style with these sneakers, I like the zebra skirt I paired with them much more, but I was trying to keep this pop of blue going.

If you were thinking about investing in a pair of “stylish sneakers” that you just style and you don’t actually run/play sports in, I would 10/10 recommend. They’re comfy and fashionable which is always a plus in my book. If you were looking for different ways to style your sneakers, I hope this list gave you some inspiration. Now get styling!!!
xoxo, megs
