Sweater weather has finally arrived and I for one am ecstatic. I love all comfy cardigans and cozy turtlenecks that come with the cool autumn breeze, so today I will be revealing a few of my favorite sweaters, turtlenecks, and everything in between in today’s blog post. In this post you may find a few familiar looks, and yes I did add outfits that have already been posted on the blog, but please bare with me, I want you see ALL the sweaters!
I’m breaking up all the sweaters I own into categories so you can see all the different styles of sweaters you can choose from and style on your own!
1. YOUR CLASSIC SWEATERS
The first sweater I’m showcasing is this adorable leopard print one from Kohl’s that is SO soft. When pairing patterned sweaters you’re 9/10 most likely to grab a pair of jeans to go with it, but honestly if you’re wearing this comfy sweater you might as well wear some loose bottoms to top it off. I paired these cream colored beachy pants that can be worn in summer AND fall and to add that dressy factor, went with some light brown booties to keep the color palette going strong.
Here is just your regular, single-colored (not patterned) sweater. Some may call it basic but I see its potential, and trust me, everything has potential it’s just about perspective. This sweater is perfect for pattered bottoms whether it’s a midi or mini skirt, or a fun pair of patchwork jeans, however I went with white denim and accessorizing with funky earrings to add that spice it needed.
2. CROPPED SWEATERS
Cropped sweaters are my holy grail for online school, they work well with all kinds of sweats but still let you breathe (unlike a big chunky sweater). Normally I’d go for some classic black sweatpants but when I took these pics it was still pretty hot outside so sweat-shorts worked!
3. TURTLENECK SWEATERS
I’m absolutely in love with the ombre stripes in this turtleneck and honestly you could pair it with a variety of bottoms, which is always a plus because who wants to wear something once and never wear it again? Right! Not everyone has the budget for a whole new closet so sweaters that can be worn with many different things and for different occasions are always a yes.
Alright granted, this is considered a “mock neck” but I’m still going to include it in this category because if you aren’t really feeling turtlenecks but want to experiment outside your comfort zone, this is the perfect way to start, with a mock neck. With this bright red sweater being the first thing that catches your eye, I wanted to keep that spotlight on it so I paired a denim skirt and jacket with it.
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, layering with turtlenecks is so easy and takes your outfit from a 6 to a 10. When it gets chillier, some people feel as if they need to hide their outfit under tons of layers and jackets, but instead you should be styling your outfit WITH the coats and layers. In this outfit, I layered a yellow turtleneck with a similar colored blazer.
4. BUTTON DOWN SWEATERS/CARDIGANS
The last sweater I will be sharing is one of the most popular looks on my blog yet, and I’d have to agree, this was one of my favorite outfits ever. I loved how the cream colors looked together and the back added that needed pop of color. I wanted to try out the one button trend and I was obsessed, yes it is a little risky lol, but I think I pulled it off. I believe button down sweaters are a fall closet essential because they are very versatile. You can wear it as a regular sweater, you can unbutton it to wear it as a cardigan or like me, wear it with one button to try out this trend.

If you’d like a visual/audible description of the sweaters in today’s blog post, I attempted a YouTube video today! Not my best work but practicing more will start to make me more comfortable talking in front of a camera lol. Enjoy!
