To elevate my style, I always try to experiment and get creative with new color combos. Colors you never thought could go together end up looking phenomenal and this allows you to use ALL of your clothing items to the fullest extent. I put together a few color combination outfits over the summer and I loved it, so I figured I’d do some more for you all! In all honesty, any color combination works if you MAKE it work and you look confident wearing it, I just want to show you MY favorite combos.
1. SAGE GREEN AND LIGHT BROWN
I can’t tell you how passionate I am about this outfit LOL, I’ve been obsessing over BOTH sage green and brown lately. Both colors are super in trend this fall and I figured why not try them together? I recently purchased these brown wide-leg pants and I’ve been wearing them constantly, and lucky for me they looked amazing with this sage green top. You’re probably looking at my heels and questioning my fashion choices, however heels with jeans/casual pants have made a huge statement in the world of fashion and I am absolutely here for it. I’ll take any chance I can get to wear heels and think they complete the outfit (especially since they’re green!)

2. GOLDEN YELLOW AND LILAC PURPLE
The colors for this next outfit were unexpected at first but ended up fitting together like two perfect puzzle pieces once I saw the completed outfit. The top I put underneath the golden yellow overall dress was one I could never figure out how to style. It was one of those things that just sat in my closet waiting to be worn. However, once I did figure it out by pairing it with the overall dress, I saw how much potential it had, I mean look at those sleeves!! I’m so in love with this look, especially with the addition of the tiny purple glasses.
3. LIGHT BLUE AND WHITE
The last color combination for today’s post was light blue and white. Even though it’s kind of obvious because every color goes with white, it just shows you how creative you can be. I took these striped pants and paired this off the shoulder patterned long sleeve. I tucked it in to accentuate the pants and I loved it. I heard that vertical stripes make you look taller and let me just say, THEY DO. I felt like a model strutting around my room in these pants lol, I can’t imagine what would happen to my ego if I was wearing heels as well LOL. To accessorize, I added a blue bag and for shoes, of course I went with my blue and white sneakers.
COLOR COMBOS! I hope you all enjoyed today’s post, I love getting creative with my color palettes when creating new looks. Monochrome looks and color combinations are by far some of the best ways to experiment with fashion so I hope I inspired you to look through your closet and start mixing and matching to make some new looks. DM me a picture of your color combination or any fun outfit you put together to be featured for this weeks “Feature Fit Friday” on my Instagram (@themissmegs)!
xoxo, megs
