It’s been pretty rainy and gloomy outside in my area recently, so I decided to lighten up my mood by dressing up as emojis! I’ve seen this trend all over TikTok so I figured I could write about it today on the blog. I only created and took pictures of two outfits but I have many more ideas so if you like today’s post, let me know and I’ll be sure to make this a series.

This first look makes me so smiley and joyful for a reason I can’t put my finger on. Maybe it’s the filter that made the colors so vibrant, maybe it’s this adorable hat that makes me feel like I’m at the beach, or maybe it’s just these pictures that make me smile overall. Although this outfit screams spring, I still love it for the fall.
Here are some full length pictures so I can go into some outfit details. The hat was a birthday present, but it was from Shein, the top is from Kohl’s, my jeans are from Target, and my shoes are from New Balance.
Overall, I think this is one of my favorite outfits yet, It’s simple yet unique. It’s also wearable which is a huge plus when styling outfits that you’d actually like to wear somewhere other than a photoshoot. I think it represented the emojis quite well and this is going to be a fabulous outfit I can’t wait to bring back in the spring.
2. π₯πΆππ
I wanted to come up with an edgy look and when someone gave me the idea of a red chili pepper emoji, I realized creating a “spicy” look was going to be so fun. I could have just put on a red dress and red heels and called it a day, but I wanted to be more creative than that.
I first started with a sparkly silver/black bodycon dress from Forever 21. I added a black mock neck overtop and layered a red tube top over all of that. I absolutely love layering so I loved the way this look turned out. For shoes I went with red heels, I figured having the red heels and red tube top were two things that immediately grasped your attention which I liked. I accessorized with black cat-eye glasses to give me a boost of confidence and overall I think the outfit came out really well.
WRAPPING IT UP
The entire process of this blog post was so much fun, from creating the outfits and actually seeing the idea come to life, to taking the photos, to writing the blog post. I loved every minute of it and if you liked this concept, let me know! I’d love to style more outfits based on different emojis!
xoxo, megs
