Four Looks For Spring

The pastels, the florals, and of course, THE WEATHER! Spring fashion is one of my favorites. You can finally bring out all the colors and patterns which makes styling outfits so much more fun. Since spring is the perfect time to start experimenting with fashion, these looks aren’t going to be your average cute top and jeans (which are still perfectly fine). In today’s blog post, I’ve got four very different looks to give you some creative inspiration for this spring. I got to shoot these looks with McKenzie, which was so much fun, so I hope you guys love them.

  1. FUN IN FLORAL

I have been obsessed with this floral mini bag since the second I got it, and honestly this look was styled around it. I started out with the bag and then grabbed the denim skirt and the pink top. As you may or may not see, the bag has a pink pastel flower on it, so the pink top matches perfectly. I knew since I had this top with some puffy statement sleeves I wanted to grab a plain denim skirt to balance out the look. I finished with a pair of white booties which are definitely a go-to pair for spring.

2. COMPLEMENTARY COLORS

Oh, how happy this outfit makes me- so happy! I had this pink checkered jumpsuit in my closet just begging to be worn this spring, so I wondered how many different ways I could style it. Since the weather is so unpredictable, I realized if it got cold, I could just throw on a sweater. This beautiful yellow turtleneck went so well with the pastel pink so I knew it was meant to be. I wanted to add even more pastel, so I put on my classic blue-accented New Balances. In the second picture, you can see I also wanted to finish the look with a tote bag (they are super popular currently), so the one I got with my Vogue subscription was perfect.

3. CONFIDENT IN COW PRINT

When I was given these pair of extra ripped jeans, I honestly didn’t know how to style them. Of course, ripped jeans are a closet essential/basic, but with the extra rips, they’re kind of the piece of the look that draws your attention. However, I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could add more statement pieces without overwhelming the outfit. So, I added a black wrap top, a cow print jacket, and to finish the look, these super cool black heeled boots that really deserve a spotlight.

4. MONOCHROME MOMENT

This last outfit is super me because I love a good monochromatic look. Although spring is all about color, I thought the brown tones would still be perfect for this season. Especially with the addition of the floral cardigan, it is still very much spring-like. I was a little worried about the clashing of patterns- under the cardigan I have a tube top with tinier flowers on it, but it kind of worked! Clashing patterns can be risky, but if it works, you’re a fashion trailblazer!

It feels so good to finally publish a fashion related blog post, especially since I’ve been trying to expand and talk about different things. I loved styling looks for this post and of course getting to shoot with McKenzie. I hope you all enjoyed and got a little fashion inspiration for spring.

xoxo, megs
